Worked as pre-press technician from 2001-2004. Main responsibilities where color correction of daily newspaper photos, scanning for ad services dept., pagination of the newspaper, output of newspaper to negative and proof of negatives once printed.

**Member of the Optimum Quality Team which won a national award within Gannet for most improved newspaper quality.**

Became a full time graphic artist for the Ad Services Dept., 2004-2006. Duties included assembly of weekly Real estate Journal (80 page booklet, cmyk, spot colors), design of daily retail advertising (automotive, special sections, real estate, etc.) and web advertising design.

2006-2008, took on the job as spec artist for The Ithaca Journal. Worked closely with sales representatives on a daily basis to increase current revenue as well as generate new revenue through creative design solutions.
