Advanced course in digital modeling, 3D scanning and 3D printing. Lecture on materials science for various printing processes, manual post-processing techniques and design geared toward real world applications. Prepare students for rapid prototyping of wearables, jewelry, sculpture, and industrial design. Run conceptual discussions in design and fabrication for students with final thesis projects.

Cofounded an R+D design studio, Slice Lab, which operates between the disciples of art and architecture. We are an experimental think tank for exploring innovative design techniques. We specialize in digital design and fabrication consulting. We strive to push the threshold of where digital design meets tangible objects. We are constantly exploring parametric software techniques and organic geometries with next-generation fabrication methods. This approach aims to benefit both our clients and ourselves, as our constant shifting of gears informs our daily process as we strive to also make our mark in this emerging field. We work with a diverse set of clients and projects where we can not only aid in the envisioning of design ideas but also in delivering a products that comes to life. Much of our inspiration is routed from our architectural background and we pride ourselves in our ability to take on simplicity, complexity and everything inbetween.

in Residence / 2015 RESEARCH Participated in a residency at Pier 9 as a sponsorship for Slice Lab geared toward testing out the first hardware produced by Autodesk. Primary focused on testing the capabilities of the DLP SLA Ember 3D printer and the online Spark platform. Material research preformed while operating a large range of rapid prototyping machines. The Design explorations took inspiration from the suspended weightlessness found in marine life. Analyses delicate underwater creatures such as jellyfish in an attempt to understand their body structures and movement patterns. Generative software was used to mimic and interpret these such observations. Using wax infused UP polymer resins, 3D printed design models were directly used in the lost wax casting method to create innovative unparalleled jewelry.

UX / UI development of Mindesk, a VR software plugin for Rhino which allow to 3D model in real time with a hand control interface. Collaborated with Mindesk to make the first 3D printed object through VR design. 3D modeling was done using Rhino/ HTC Vive

Work closely with other team members in completing and submitting multiple phases of design package proposals. Assist in leading diverse facets of modeling and documentation to create and present Design Development (DD) packages. Actively participate in all stages of production from initial conception and design through building documentation and tenant improvements. Contribute to hands-on design work in areas of landscaping, lighting, exterior gathering spaces, layout space, and preparation of Construction Documents (CD’s).
