My Team at MECHTANK focus mostly on product development when it comes to down and dirty digital work "SolidWorks". We run two seats of the program.
Our machine shop in geared towards fine furniture making. I Like making furniture start to finish. Our shop has an 18ft 10hp wood mill. Start to finish means Start to finish with our 18ft solar kiln.
In the past we have make CAD files for company's that work direct with Hewlett-Packard. These same files are sent for tooling. Files at MECHTANK are tool ready so little CAM work is involved for tool pull in the molding process
After taking 3 Psychology courses at Wentworth Institute of Technology I want my future clients to have an open mind about what could or could not be a reality. Is a Dream a reality, Or Could you make It one? Here at MECHTANK we like to keep an open mind. This leads my team, self included to hold offsite meetings so we can allow our subconscious run with ideas.

At Cool Gear I worked as a Product Designer on the design team. I generate an arrangement of products for the company targeting hydration. Working for Cool Gear was exciting. What I liked most was the fast past environment that got hectic at time. Coming from an athlete’s background I love the pressure, it drives me to become extra focused. Cool Gear kept me heavily occupied with the majority of there mechanical products. I have a passion for mechanical problem solving so I am in love with moving mechanisms. At CG I was faced with working with china factory, so I can adjust to language barrier . I think it is very helpful having the knowledge to work beside china factories to see tooling through to production. I recently left this job because I was working with SolidWorks over 60 hours a week. Got burned out.

Worked in the model shop designing various mechanisms as well as components for a wide variety of brands including Transformers, Kro-o, Spiderman and Nerf. I generated concepts digitally using Solidworks as well as sketching. I also build breadboard models to battle through obstacles. I have been able to sharpen my leadership skills by training and supervising our interns along with other on projects that I have assigned to them. I have been fortunate to be able to build outstanding relationships with my co-workers.

Industrial Designer Boys Games Providence, RI
I was recruited by my departments VP and Managers to help out the games division. They are introducing new products and I was brought on to help kick start them. I adapted smoothly to the games team at our Providence location, formulating new ways of game play with our brands. After making connections with the games Managers, they have been continually requesting my help developing concepts.

Model Services Co-op Pawtucket, RI
During my Coop I worked as a model maker developing prototypes for BeyBlades and Tonka brands. I utilized a range of materials, discovering many new ways to apply action for BeyBlade tops. Using springs, levers, cams, ball bearings and more during my development stages, I was able to visualize pros and cons through the duration of the build. At times I would step back to analyze and critique my mechanisms. This helped me if I had problems that needed to be permutated by critiquing existing designs.

I achieved final designs working alongside architects creating detailed drawings from rough sketches. After our revisions we would establish our build using exotic woods. Mostly everything was built using hand tools but we also would use machines like CNC’s, table saw and wood shapers to create more intricate products.
