About
I have recently just graduated from UWE Bristol studying Creative Product Design (BSc) with a 2:1 degree and I can honestly say university has been incredible, I have learnt many new skills, and met some amazing people. I am looking forward to continuing my career in the design industry, focusing particularly on human-centered design.
I am a motivated and creative individual with a wide range of skills in both Art and Industrial Design and am very passionate about contributing these skills and experiences within a design team.
I have come to product design from a three dimensional background. My focus is human-centered design. I have a deep interest in aesthetic form and how this impacts our lives through the everyday products we use. I have found working in three dimensions and using CAD invaluable in my work, but my background in art and photography also enables me to explore projects from many angles as I evolve a design. -

2:1 BSc (Hons) Creative Product DesignUniversity of the West of England2014 - 2017My course contained work on product aesthetics, ergonomics, design language, technical considerations, sketching, concept development, marker rendering, product mechanics, photo editing, service design and various CAD packages.

BTEC Diploma Art and DesignGloucestershire College2012 - 2014This two year course in art and design covered a wide range of topics including five core units such as visual recording, historical and contextual studies, materials, techniques and processes, ideas and concepts and visual communication. Areas that I covered include illustration, 3D design, painting, printmaking, fashion/textiles, photography and sculpture.

Creative Assistant and Stock ManagerLilyfee Floral DesignsUnited KingdomMay 2012 - Present (14 years 4 months)My position with Lilyfee was assisting with the floristry and styling for weddings and events. I was responsible for the styling of the events, and was able to contribute to the designs of the final displays. Through this work, I have had the opportunity to be actively involved as a creative assistant on many events, photo shoots and commissions in the Cotswolds. I was also commissioned to design and build display units. I have learned a great deal by working in the business, particularly spacial awareness, how to create styling with the use of props, how to deal with customer relations and presentation skills.

Assistant Electrical EngineerHopkins Electrical2010 - 2010I had a week’s work experience with this local electrical business. I accompanied the electricians on their daily jobs, including replacing all the lights in a Peugeot showroom and fitting new lights at Jonjo O’Neill’s racing stables. I was very fortunate that the electricians took the time to teach me a range of electrical skills and electrical safety.
