I conducted research and ideation before running a brainstorming session with the team. The results were ranked and simple concepts were developed to review with the client.
I created concept models in Rhino 3d to send for prototyping. Once the prototypes were tested and approved final Inventor models were created.

Playground Support Ring
Playcore needed to replace an ugly support bracket with a versatile solution fitting their fun style, but not violating a competitor’s patent. E91 was hired to develop the solution using a Design Thinking mindset to work around the initial patent issues, and develop a unique patentable solution for Playcore. I combined customer supplied user research with mine on the competition and market, setting up an internal brainstorming session to develop novel ideas. We sorted and ranked these ideas using a Pugh chart, presenting the best concepts. I finished the styling and concept, sourced 3d prints to test, and helped with the final design.
