Esther Garibay

I am, Esther Garibay, a Graphic Designer. I earned my Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design and Digital Media from Cal Baptist University located in Riverside, CA. I started doing Art in Jr. High School. I discovered my talent when i was in 5th grade doing a drawing for a small class competition. I enjoyed drawing and painting involving the use of a lot of color to attract attention to my work. I joined a small group of you artist my age when I was in high school; there I met an artist name Ty. And he inspired me to enter the field of Graphic Design. He told me I would like Graphic Design because of the strong use of color. And I followed his advice. After high school I registered at Riverside Community College and started taking art classes and basic design classes. I enjoyed taking my basic design classes because I learned many guidelines to design doing art work. At RCC I earned my AA and transferred to Cal Baptist. There I took more art classes and the finalizing classes to earning my BA in Graphic Design. I enjoyed learning creating art in a computer especial picture composites in Photoshop. The hard part about earning my degree was managing time, doing homework, and having to work full time to be able to help my mom and pay for bills and school. But I am proud of my self that my goal was full filled. I graduated in May of 2012 and I am currently working on small projects for example creating business cards for self employed clients and searching for a full time position as a Graphic Designer.
