Based as the sole gift designer within the company. Role revolved around designing gifts,
accessories, and homeware, from concept to production, for high street retailers. The design
process included product, print, packaging, brochure, and presentation design using
Illustrator and Photoshop skills. Watch design was also undertaken to assist the watch design
team during busy periods. Other roles included assisting in product photography and editing
for web images, as well as communicating with clients in meetings and e-mails, ensuring the
product timeline was maintained.

Rubies is the largest fancy dress designer and manufacturer in the world. The role included helping senior designers with CAD work, building CAD models for the sales department, and helping with research for potential future projects. Individual design work was also part of the role, designing costumes and accessories, with projects being taken from initial concepts through to production.
Non-design related work included office management with the re-ordering of supplies, organising meetings, setting up displays for buyers, and managing all incoming and outgoing parcels. Sole responsibility was also taken for the approval processes of costumes with licensors such as Disney, Marvel and Lucas. This involved updating the systems with development progress of several hundred costumes and liasing with contacts from the companies.
