Senior Design Engineer
TS Product Design
Oct 2011 - Mar 2014 (2 years 5 months)
Whilst at TS Design, I was responsible for leading an array of technically challenging projects from concept to manufacture within sectors such as medical, industrial and consumer. Due to the consultancy nature of the business, projects needed to be completed within very tight time-scales as well as maintaining coherent client communication. All design solutions delivered paid thorough consideration to function, mechanics, aesthetics, cost, commercial viability, sustainability, manufacturing implementation, assembly and quality control.
Business Innovation - Design Advisor
Apr 2012 - Apr 2013 (1 year)
Business Innovation is a Welsh Government programme that offers 50% match funding for innovative design and manufacturing projects up to value of £25,000. As a Design Advisor for the programme, I engaged with over 60 SMEs across Wales. In many instances, I assisted companies in applying ‘design thinking’ within their business, as well as helping to identify new product opportunities and competitive advantages that could be leveraged using design.
