Professor of game design
Montréal, Canada
May 2012 - Jun 2024 (12 years 1 month)
My responsibilities as professor of game design are as follows:
- Teaching: I teach game design (theory and workshops) as well as game development classes
- Research: My research is closely linked to my graduate studies (persuasive design and instructional design), but I also contributed to projects exploring the gender(ed) perceptions of the game design career and the experiences of women working in the field.
- Academic administration: I was program director for the Video Game Creation and 3D Creation bachelor programs for two years. I was also in charge of coordinating the basic operations of UQAT's Montreal training centre. This included overseeing a move and an expansion.
- Scientific community: I have coordinated and organized two discussion groups on games - one about video games and the other about role-playing games. Each took place monthly over several years, with up to 40 participants each time.
The goal of each discussion group was to open the discussion between researchers, industry professionals and hobbyists through thematic presentations and conversations.
