  • Education
    • Ph.D. Design
      Université de Montréal
      2012 - 2018
This study explores how the premise of persuasive design can be applied to game design and, specifically, to help guide player behaviour. It is informed by Richard Buchanan's design research and the Treaty of Argumentation by Perelman and Olbrechts-Tyteca. My methods apply research through design, where I aim to develop and test a pen-and-paper role-playing game based on persuasive design.
    • Masters of Applied Science Design
      Université de Montréal
      2010 - 2012
This thesis explored how educational models can inform instructional design in video games. It showed that classic teaching models including Bloom's taxonomy of educational objectives can be a promising framework in game design.

      2007 - 2008
I hold a DESS (Graduate professional diploma) in game design. This program included training in game design fundamentals, game development, the systemic approach to game design, game experiences, game studies, and project management.
    • B.A. Film studies and production
      Université de Montréal
      2000 - 2003
I majored in film studies and production with a focus on scriptwriting. I also minored in psychology.
    • D.E.C. Creative Arts: television & electronic films
Champlain Regional College - Campus St-Lambert
      1997 - 2000
This training focused mainly on video production, both for single camera and studio/multi-camera productions. I also learned video editing and film studies.
