Since graduating from technical college, I have been working as a model maker, pattern maker, manager and project manager. It has given me the opportunity to watch and work with master model makers in the fields of architectural models, industrial models, proving models, consumer products, and point of purchase models.

My goal is to be an across-the-board resource: having the knowledge and skills for the way things were done in the good ol’ days as well as learning and working with the newest prototyping technologies. “Perfect will be ‘close enough’” has been my mantra since 9th-grade woodshop.

Throughout the years I have been privileged to work with traditionally-trained pattern makers from Browne and Sharpe tools in Providence, Rhode Island. Like an old-school apprenticeship, the lessons I learned gave me experience I am able to bring into my job today. For example, the CNC machine process was made a great deal easier because of my knowledge of how to build a pattern or prototype by hand with a Bridgeport, table saw, and chisel.
