Solid Surface & Stone Counter-top Manufacturing Company - Cortland/Syracuse, New York Work directly with homeowners, contractors, millwork companies, sales associates, designers, and other members of the trade to help ensure the end product satisfies the customers needs and expectations. Create fabrication approval submittals by reviewing commercial millwork drawings and engineering the best method of fabrication based on material and the desired look of the final design. Manage and educate employees in the Drafting Department to create a higher standard for accuracy through creating reference sheets, training, and instating ways to self-check work. Created a Web-page through Google Sites so all reference material could be located in a manageable and user friendly way, even if not in the office. Resulting in fewer reworks and secondary site visits. Designed new methods to streamline residential work through templating and drafting for a faster turnaround. Continuously look for more improvements daily. Resulting in raising the drafting employee's daily avg from 6 to 13 projects (roughly 40sqft per project) Periodically work on in-house specialty projects, such as helping create a new look for our current showroom, revamping the layout of the drafting department to help with continuity between employees, worked on color schemes and a feature wall for future office location.
