I was asked to design a kitchen mixing product based on a designer of my choice. I chose Peter Schlumbohm, the inventor of the Chemex coffee maker as my inspiration. After going through an intensive process of sketching ideas, I decided to choose a device that uses chemistry to create tiny spheres of gelatin. THis process is called sphereification and is used to make a variety of modern dishes. The device could also be used to cool hot liquids in a very manual and simple way
