Howard Nuk is a creative leader, entrepreneur, board advisor, and co-founder of the new Palm.
In 2016, Howard Nuk and Dennis Miloseski co-founded the San Francisco-based startup Palm Ventures Group with a mission to disrupt the mobile industry and re-invent the Palm brand. The co-founders also brought on NBA champion Stephen Curry as a strategic investor and advisor at Palm. In November of 2018, they launched the new Palm and the world’s first companion smartphone (also named Palm) with exclusive partner, Verizon.
Prior to Palm, Howard was Vice President of Design at Samsung Design America. Howard developed over a dozen new mobile tech products, including the Samsung wireless earbuds—Samsung Galaxy Buds, Gear IconX, Gear IconX 2018, and Gear Circle; Samsung wrist wearables—Samsung Gear Fit 1, Gear Fit 2, Gear S, and Gear S2. Howard also designed the Samsung Level headphones lineup, and Samsung Galaxy View products.
Previous to Samsung, Howard worked at Ammunition as Vice President of the Industrial Design Studio. Howard helped create groundbreaking products for companies like Beats by Dr Dre, and Nook by Barnes & Noble, Adobe, and Sky. Howard also notably worked with founder Jack Dorsey on the full product line for Square.
Howard has also served as Creative Director at global design firm, frog where he worked closely with founder and design luminary, Hartmut Esslinger. Over an 11 year tenure, Howard developed successful product lines for Disney, Motorola, Intel, Polycom, Starbucks, Titleist, among many others.
Howard recently joined the advisory board for Trufan, a social intelligence marketing platform. Prior, Howard was an advisor to the design non-profit, Industrial Arts and Method (IAM).
Howard is a council member on the Forbes Technology Council. He has also served as juror for notable design competitions, and spoken at numerous design and tech talks. Howard’s work and opinions have been published in Time, Fast Company, Businessweek, Fortune, Forbes, CNET, The Wall Street Journal, Wired, Surface, Variety.
Howard has been honored as one of Fast Company's Most Creative People. Over his career, Howard has created dozens of award-winning products (iF Award, Red Dot, IDSA, Good Design) with over 100+ patents to his name.
Howard attended Carleton University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design. He was named Valedictorian, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
