Bachelor of Arts Graphic DesignPortland State University2003 - 2007At the time I decided to pursue a degree in the graphic arts I was living in Japan. Knowing only that I wanted to move back to Portland but not sure which school to apply to, I did some research, and on a whim I registered for classes at PSU based on what I read and heard about the design program there. So glad I made that decision as I loved their design program and was fortunate to learn from so many talented professors and instructors.

Senior Graphic DesignerPortland, ORDec 2012 - Present (13 years 6 months)I work very closely with the marketing team to conceptualize and create a solid and cohesive story that aligns with the companies marketing strategy. This includes concepts, comps, layout, final art and deliverables. As well I work on creating, updating and freshening our brand look and feel which includes: color palette, fonts and typography, photography and oversee the Webtrends Brand Guide.

Graphic DesignerPortland, ORFeb 2008 - Feb 2012 (4 years)Fresh out of college I was hired by the Bureau of Planning and Sustainability (at the time it was called the Office of Sustainable Development) in NW Portland, Oregon. I worked with team leaders to create collateral and banners for events, logos for non-profits, large documents for City planning, recycling infographics and containers among many other forms of print design.
