I was born in the south of Spain from Belgium immigrant parents. My parents surrounded me in a mid century environment. This proved conducive to arouse a passion in me for furniture design.
This passion brought me to study at the prestigious Ravensbourne College of Art and Design in London.
After graduation, I was hired by Swaine Adeney Brigg, a leather goods and accessories Company, established in 1750. I had the opportunity to design their new flagship store, luggage for the Jaguar XJ, a briefcase lock for Rolls Royce, as well as accessories for other prestige’s British company such as, Christie’s and Asprey.
Several years later, I joined Mudditt Design and Construction in London. Where I worked hands on, from conception through completion. Doing a variety of interior architecture projects, both in the private and commercial sector. The years I spent with them provided me a wealth of knowledge, giving me the skills needed to tackle large interior architecture projects.
While in London, I was asked to join a vibrant new company called Interna, based in Spain. One of the first companies to provide the foreign residents of Marbella, with the high end services in interior design and architecture.
Though I still worked on some commercial projects, the bulk of my work was in the private sector. I supervised construction and design of all custom furniture. Some of this work, entertainment units in particular, grabbed the attention of the local Bang & Olufsen retailer; which resulted in my working exclusively for B&O.
As the demand for specialty furniture and home theaters grew, not only in Spain, but also throughout Europe, traveling became a routine. It was on one of these trips abroad, in Dublin, where I met my wife, Caroline, an American from New York.
Moving there in 2006, and applying my skills designing for California Closets.
Since 2016 I live in Malaga, Spain.
