About
Hi! I'm Irina Markova, Latvian designer currently living in Prague. My journey in surface design started in 2011 when i began working as a junior designer in German design agency. After 6 years working for some of the well-known names in German homeware and reaching art director position, i started my own creative business in 2018.
Since then I've been working for homeware industry, creating art for kitchen textiles, ceramic and melamine tableware, greeting cards and all kinds of products around home.
I love to work in different styles, watercolor or vector graphics - every project is special to me and i love to create designs that i would as well buy as a consumer.
My hope is that my art would also find its path to other peoples hearts, make their day brighter and bring them joy. -

Senior DesignerIdee und DesignGermanyOct 2010 - Jan 2018 (7 years 3 months)My daily task was to create illustrations and design sets for various homeware products, such as kitchen textiles, bedding, ceramic and melamine tableware, stationery, greeting cards, storage tins, water bottles, bags, ironing board covers, scales, paper napkins, gift paper and many more. Working for lots of different clients across the industry over the years has helped me to build a wide expertise around homeware design. Strong knowledge of cultural, historic and modern design styles as well as yearly participation in trade shows, such as Ambiente and Heimtex in Frankfurt, Maison et Objet in Paris, The Inspired Home Show in Chicago, have helped me to develop sharp feeling of visual design trends.
