Recruited to join the management team with a primary focus on the rebuilding and subsequent management of the creative department. Together, working with a writing partner and co-ACD responsibilities included:
– Determining which positions were needed
– Interviewing and hiring of staff
– Development of a department philosophy and creative vision
– Overseeing day-to-day department operations including: managing creative staff, evaluating creative briefs, approving schedules, forecasting projects, balancing workloads, reviewing work/providing creative direction, attending client presentations, etc.
– Additionally responsible for maintaining a personal workload with a billable rating of 90-100%

Aside from the duties associated with the creation and management of the creative department this role was also heavily involved in a collective venture to streamline agency workflow process with the end goal of sustaining a system that provided the best environment for creative to thrive. Additionally, pivotal roles were also played in the efforts to acquire new business—from the development of a renewed agency positioning and philosophy to the identification of category targets and generation of select new business materials.
