The Trough. When you go to sea for the first time it leaves an indelible mark on your soul. At 18 I was riding Navy Tankers filled with 9 million gallons of AV-GAS, JP-5 and Black Oil. That'll do it!

Rough concept for painting. I get intrigued with light and composition. See, observe and remember is something I make an effort to do. Most images I create come directly out of my thinking process. I very seldom set up any kind of still life or landscape. I like the spontaneous to happen.
