Hello, I'm Jim Dixon and I’m married with two teenage children and three Chihuahua’s. About six years ago I was let go from my job. I searched for a little over a year to find a new job. The only jobs I could find available were either working at some fast food restaurant or jobs I had no qualifications for. I sat down with my family and we decided it would be best if I went back to school to learn a trade I could make a career out of. I knew it was not going to be easy; not knowing what I wanted to major in the first year and a half of school at BSU was spent doing Lib Ed. classes. I finally decided that I was going to be a computer science major. It wasn’t my first choice but my worst fear was to spend all this work and time only to graduate with a degree I could not use. After a year of upper level math classes and trying to figure out what assembly language really was, I knew there was no way I could do this any longer. I then decided to change my major and I have enjoyed all I have learned in the past two and a half years. I just graduated from Bemidji State University, with honors, with my B.S. in Art and Design with an emphisis in Digital and Exhibit Design.
