PROJECT: KUA Logo This design incorporates geometric shapes to convey the simplicity of Kua‘äina Ulu ‘Auamo and its statement: growing grassroots through shared responsibility. The three circles on the triangle represents the Kuahiwi, Kahawai and Kai. These 3 areas represent different stewardships that were required of all that utilized its resources. The triangle represents the ‘auamo or shared responsibility that KUA envisions. The ‘auamo is an extension of support to an individual to help distribute the weight or burden. Through the connected lines or network, the shared weight or burden becomes even lighter, more manageable. This designed was inspired by a modern visual icon that indicated to share.
PROJECT: I MANA KA LÄHUI: EMPOWER THE PEOPLE BRANDING. CONCEPT: KÜ - ‘Ulu. Represents sacrifice, utility, and growth. ‘A‘ohe ‘ulu e loa‘a i ka pökole o ka lou. No breadfruit can be reached when the picking stick is too short. This design incorporates an ‘ulu; a flame in the center portrays the knowledge or light that empowers. Using the ‘ulu signifies the growth and utility that I Mana Ka Lähui will provide through the knowledge that will be conveyed through the workshops.
PROJECT: PAPAKILO DATABASE BRANDING. CONCEPT: KAMAKA - The Eye. The Office of Hawaiian Affairs’ (OHA’s) Papakilo Database is a cutting edge and comprehensive “Database of Databases” consisting of varied collections of data pertaining to historically and culturally significant places, events, and documents in Hawai'i’s history. Papakilo means a foundation for seeking, searching and observing information while embracing the continual exploration of infinite spaces, levels of knowledge as a perpetual cycle for the next generations to come."

BRANDING CONCEPT FOR MAUI NATIVE HAWAIIAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. CONCEPT: Na Wai ‘Eha. The four waterways - the Waikapu, ‘Iao and Waiehu Streams and the Waihe’e Rivers - are perennial streams that traditionally supported a native aquatic ecosystem and the largest continuous area of taro production in the Hawaiian Islands.
Waipuna Brand. WAIPUNA IS AN EXCITING COLLABORATION of two talented individuals, Kale Hannahs and Matt Sproat. Their eclectic musical backgrounds and similar taste in music has led to the development of a unique sound that draws comparisons to their name, Waipuna, or spring water.
