This section view shows the fasteners engaging with the movable jaw. The view allows for easy understanding of assembled parts.
The machinist vise has a movable jaw that slides back and forth by a main screw. The handle has two press on end caps while the movable jaw requires a base plate and two screws to allow the part to slide. A fastener goes in the top of the movable jaw to prevent it sliding off the main screw while in use.
