I am a final year design student studying at Bournemouth University, United Kingdom. I have completed a year in industry at a small in house design consultancy called Dufort Associates. Here I was able to put the skills that I had crafted and knowledge gained from the previous 2 years of education into practice. The placement year has taught me key aspects of design that you cannot learn in a university lecture theater. I gained valuable knowledge such a: how to design a product cost effectively and how to design a product from concept through to manufacture. The most important aspect being able to deliver to the client a professional product in the short time slots.
