About
Driven by an insatiable curiously of the world around me I am most drawn to the processes of experimentation and invention especially within the Arctic region. I have gotten the remarkable opportunity to work with scientists from the Centre of Observational Science at the University of Manitoba on a design proposal for a new arctic research facility in Churchill Manitoba. This experience has been heavily influential, as it has became the basis of my thesis work as well as an arctic research excursion this past summer throughout Scandinavia and the Arctic region.

Architectural Designer for Arctic Research Facility ProposalUniversity of ManitobaWinnipeg, CanadaMay 2013 - Jun 2014 (1 year 1 month)I continued my involvement with the Centre of Observation Science by researching and designing a second iteration of OSIM (Oil in Sea Ice Mesocosm)with the scientists. I focused on the technical aspects and possibilities of the facility and produced a series of renderings as well as a movie of the design for the University’s proposal.

Researcher for the Sea-Ice Envirnomental Research FacilityUniversity of ManitobaWinnipeg, CanadaMay 2012 - Aug 2012 (3 months)I received a research award where I worked under Dr. Feiyue Wang (SERF CEO), to study and propose a design for an additional sea-ice research pool for the University of Manitoba that could be used to experiment and examine the implications of arctic oil marine spill response through in-situ burning experiments.

Performed a wide range of duties, which included bobcat and excavator operation. Also assisted in estimates and the design process when needed.
