Jung Soo Park

The first Kinetic Movement Study for the Kinetic Chandelier is a wall-hanging sculpture. Taking the vernacular of a traditional chandelier, the structure was built to be “just recognizable of its shape.” By exposing the mechanical geared parts for kinetic movement—driven by a small motor—the overall design portrays a kind of dystopian luxury.
