Katie Llywela Hughes

I am a graduate student in Textiles for Fashion and Interiors. ‘A Troubled Queen’ is a collection of designs suitable for soft home furnishings and wallpaper for top end, up-market and avant-garde homes inspired by the Renaissance and figurative imagery. My collection stems from my passion for period interiors, abstract expressionism and trend fashion forecasts, combining the old and the new in my own personal style. I have used a combination of digital print techniques on velvet and silk, as well as wallpaper flocking to achieve a rich and sensuous feel evocative of luxurious interiors of the past.
