Create detailed shop drawings for the fabrication and installation of items for a variety of construction projects: roofing, windows, storefronts, curtain walls, doors, railing, interior partitions etc.

My job is to:

- Analyze architectural drawings, specifications and other related documentation
- Draft specific, product based, technical details and elevations using CAD software
- Revise marked-up drawings to achieve approval of the project
- Prepare final set of drawings for record/ fabrication/ installation, based on the approved marked-up drawings

My responsibilities included:

- Preparing construction budget by analyzing plans, specifications and other related documentation.
- Obtaining bids from vendors, evaluating offers and negotiating price
- Preparing shop drawings
- Overseeing and managing multiple construction projects from start to completion
- Managing: RFI’s, Transmittals, Change Order Requests, Meeting minutes etc.
- Coordinating delivery of materials, scheduling of equipment and labor

Under the direct supervision of experienced architects, I had a chance to improve my practical knowledge of working on new construction projects, renovations and additions of single and multi-family housing, small commercial buildings, small industrial buildings, urban planning and historic preservation projects.

My duties and tasks consisted of:
- Performing drafting, 3D modeling and presentation work
- Developing conceptual sketches into design presentations
- Developing sketch details into CAD drawings
- Measuring existing buildings for renovation and restoration projects
- Assisting in the preparation of architectural working drawings and related project documents
- Assisting in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
- Preparing documentation for obtaining building permits.

I was performing a variety of tasks in construction, demolition and abatement projects.
My job tasks and duties involved strenuous manual labor, use of hand and power tools and maintaining a clean and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.

Successfully managed my father’s company.
My responsibilities were various, ordering materials, project management, engineering, production, installation of aluminum doors, windows, curtain walls, garage doors etc.
