Most physicians were familiar with Cymbalta for depression but not for it's pain indications. Insights showed that most patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy or fibromyalgia benefitted from a medication that worked on both mood and pain. The idea was to get physicians to think more broadly about how they could provide greater relief and better outcomes for their patients.
