Multi-platform Design: Created and designed 10 B2B publications in the healthcare, industrial, and consumer markets, including Contemporary OB/GYN, Dermatology Times, DVM Newsmagazine, Drug Topics, Ophthalmology/Optometry Times, RN, Aesthetic Authority, etc. Led the print and digital design and brand identities for monthly national physician news magazines and topic-specific clinical supplements reaching audiences averaging approximately 20,000 each. Established consistent, omni-channel experiences for each brand via e-newsletters, websites, social content and display ad creation.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Interfaced closely on an ongoing basis with sales/publisher, editorial, project management, marketing, web team, audience development, and market reseach colleagues re: strategic objectives and audience engagement targets. Interacted with agencies and clients on custom project initiatives re: communications objectives, design intent, and concepting. Major clients included Alcon, Allergan, Bausch+Lomb, Slate Pharmaceuticals, Ista Pharmaceuticals, Ortho Dermatologics, and Valeant Pharmaceuticals who sponsored a lifestyle project called Derm Pulse.
Branding: Conceptualized and completed redesigns for Cosmetic Surgery Times, Dermatology Times, RN magazines and In the Know consumer/patient aesthetic publication; visually bolstered publications with fresh appearances to increase readership and readability. Performed deep-dive historical, marketing, and readership research to create brands, redesign old brands, and devise special edition campaigns such as the 160th Anniversary year for Drug Topics.
Systems & Workflow: Ensured all design initiatives came in under-budget and on time and passed all Systems & Workflow requisite medical and legal review.
Worked with publishers, printers, ex-US production teams to operationalize weekly production calendars for both digital and print assets. Led 2013 transition of production processes for publications to offshore vendor.
