Leon Lazarus

Leon Lazarus has a deep and abiding love for design, advertising and publishing. He started his media career at Rhodes University in South Africa, where he worked on a variety of student publications, hosted a twice weekly radio program and played bass guitar in a non-racial 11 piece band that was unique for its time.



After leaving Rhodes University in 1991, Lazarus founded Liger Design. He joined PSB Communications as a senior designer working on some of South Africa's largest corporate accounts. Lazarus then took the position of Marketing Director at JSL Auto Parts where he created a company funded community newspaper, offered the first free web hosting in South Africa to JSL customers and created a unique discount card.



After the sale of JSL, Lazarus joined Fox Publishing, the preeminent corporate communications company in South Africa. There he worked with the largest corporations in Africa including Eskom, the state energy supplier and Iskor, a steel manufacturer.



In 2000, Lazarus emigrated with his family to California and accepted the position of Creative Director at Logomark in Irvine, where he helped produce the biggest high-end promotional product catalog in the world. By investing in technology, improving hiring processes and bringing photography in-house, Lazarus slashed the lead time on catalogs, improved the quality of the books, and cut costs at origination and on press.



After six years at Logomark, Lazarus left to become director of advertising development at Valley View Casino & Hotel, where he helped oversee the casino’s creative and marketing initiatives and assisted in establishing the casino's brand and design standards.



In 2012 Leon joined InnoVision as a VP.



Leon is now working with an international team on an exciting new venture in the online and mobile gaming space and building a board for Teacher Lee Play-To-Learn™ Preschool, a non profit that provides a free preschool education to children across San Diego.
