Li-Fu Lin

I am a graduate student at the Department of Web Design and New Media at Academy of Art University in San Francisco, USA and focusing on user experience, storytelling and new technologies.



In my master program, I am concentrating on user interface and user experience. I believe that good visuals and storytelling can help users engage in the web faster and easier. While I studied at the Department of Communications Design, Shih Chien University (SCU) Taipei, Taiwan, I have learned art fundamental and programming and made many artworks. My working style and teamwork ability is another advantage. I have been the executive secretary of the Graduate Exhibition Committee in my fourth undergraduate year and learned how to establish an exhibition, integrate classmates’ and teachers’ opinion and make decision.



My past working experience of web development internship in a fashion company is other plus. I made an e-commerce website and visual graphics for the company. The biggest challenge was to satisfy the business goal and user expectation in the same time. I asked friends about what they care when they purchased clothes (price, style, color, channel, etc). During the construction of the website, I invited potential users to do a testing on the website. After several revisions, I produced a satisfactory website for the company.
