A quick throwback to 1975. I was sharing a tiny office with Tom Smith Communications when a well-dressed gentleman pulled up one evening. He said he worked with Michael Jackson and needed concept sketches for a possible “Michael Jackson Music Center” — by Tuesday. He dropped $300 on my desk and disappeared.
I sketched a few ideas inspired by the round Quality Inn on International Drive. The client never returned, but years later I rebuilt one of those early concepts in SketchUp.
This was the design.
