The table was finished with a natural beeswax to enhance the natural beauty of the grain of the wood and to preserve the light tone of the wood as this is a characteristic strongly associated with Scandinavian design.
The hidden detail on the top of the legs consists of a wedge of american black walnut that provides a delicate contrast to the main body of ash.
A detail view of the legs. I incorporated the typically British square top of the leg into the design to create a subtle hint towards English charm.

A coffee table designed with the idea of Scandinavian simplicity and English charm (characteristics that all Hanna Francis` products embody). The table is constructed is handmade using american ash with a hidden detail using american black walnut, The design also includes a clever storage system in which the unit is incorporated within the table top.
