I was an artist from the time I could hold a crayon, and have played with a wide variety of media since then. My first graphic design experience was old-school – drawing, collaging, (hand) silk screening, and preparing designs for offset printing.
Much of my career has been in textile art, including liturgical work which taught me how to design something to read well on a large scale.
When I discovered digital photography and imaging my world exploded. I now not only do digital graphic design and illustration, I’ve created work marrying digital imagery and textile techniques.
Working with clients is a particularly satisfying occupation because I enjoy the energy generated between me and someone who wants to find an image to convey a thousand words.
