After going to The Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago and IADT-Las Vegas and earning a BA in Fine Arts with a major in Fashion Design Maribel has quickly gain recognition in the Chicago Fashion Industry as a pattern maker and sample maker for leading designers in the Chicago Land Area such as Anna Fong, Fashionable Addiction, Lindsey Berns (childrens wear), Satoko MIzuno, among other upcoming emerging and establish designers. With a backgound in manufacturing womans clothing apparel, mens, childrenswear, bowties, neckties, plus size markets, etc. Successfully helping Designers produce their lines in Chicago based on market needs or directing people to valuable resources. Have been an active member of the Apparel Board Industry in Chicago for 8yrs and going, a member of CFF and continue support in the Chicago Fashion Industry. Her dedication and determination can be seen thorough her knowledge in patterning/clothing construction/fit/grading/draping techniques, fittings, tech specs, digitizing, grading, marker making, as well as assisting local chicago designers as well as Midwest region.
