    I am a Senior designer with a diverse background, and an emphasis on Visual and Interactive design in a Lead role. Simply put, I have continued to thrive as a designer by adhering to a strong, traditional process, and balancing that structure with an innate user-centric point of view. I am a consumer at heart, and this gives me great insight into projects of all types and scales.

    I am currently seeking a Senior role that presents me with an equally diverse range of challenges, in an environment that has genuine innovative-thinking at the center of its culture. With design leadership comes project “ownership” - bringing value to the big picture and functioning hands-on as needed from concept to production, working fluidly with the entire team to ensure a final product that exceeds expectations.

    While technically skilled and committed to process, I believe strongly in agility, or "Change Readiness", with an ability to quickly cultivate new skills and deploy new solutions in fast-evolving situations, and an ever-shifting consumer landscape. I rely on exceptional communication skills and a collaborative work-style to achieve results that all stakeholders can feel proud of. I nurture fellow designer’s and developer’s strengths, and work to cultivate a healthy, collaborative work culture wherever I go. Independently, I am a fast-iterator, able to push the best ideas forward, set the tone for new, cohesive, stand-out projects, while still implementing and sculpting group thinking to achieve the best possible outcomes.

I exceeded all assignment expectations tot he point where instructors simply allowed me to create my own curriculum in the job market that was already recruiting me befor graduation.

Designed company Media Kit working with the Publisher and Art Director. Created presentations for the Chief Editor. Crafted various DIY projects for photography and articles. Created my first published advertising piece. Retained my relationship with the magazine as a freelance illustrator for many years.

Even when working in a full-time position with its own established culture, I tend to retain my process, an ask myself the harder questions: "...why are we doing this project? How can we do it differently, and memorably?" This work-style drives me to cultivate new skills, keep abreast of inspiring trends, remain open and transparent with colleagues, and always be prepared for sudden, drastic shifts in everything we think is static about this industry.
