About
A recent graduate of Virginia Tech’s Industrial Design program, Max embraced the program’s human-centered design focus. He has been awarded the Virginia Tech School of Architecture + Design’s AJ Davis Undergraduate Research Award, the Industrial Design Excellence in Thesis Award, and the Student Innovation Design Ignites Change Award.
Research and strategy have increasingly guided Max’s work. Visiting Western Europe, Africa and India, he’s watched people use a diverse range of high and low-end design-based solutions. In today’s global economy, understanding how cultural differences impact how products are used is vital for business, and is Max’s passion.
I seek an opportunity as an intern or entry-level design researcher and strategist. I'm excited to apply my design skills to a diverse range of challenges and opportunities. -

powerfully. We started LocalDesign; a craft vendor at the Blacksburg Farmer’s
Market. Our goal was simple. To develop products for user’s specific needs.
Our model impacted the community with improvements in the kitchen
tools that dealt with the goods they bought at the market. We pioneered a service to involve the community with the product design process and at the same time develop student professional skills. -
