Viking Combi-Steam/Convect Oven

Since 2010, Viking Range Corporation had been in talks with SMCA Design Center about developing a new steam oven for its Professional Series line. It came to fruition in the final quarter of 2011. This new steam oven would utilize the same technology found in the AX-1200 Sharp SuperSteam Oven, which would make the Viking oven capable of four different cooking options. These options were Steam, Convection, Microwave, and SuperSteam Convection. SuperSteam technology was pioneered by Sharp and uses a combination of steam and convection to superheat the steam molecules. It actually browns and crisps foods while retaining moisture and natural flavors. The fat and salt content in foods are reduced while maintaining its natural vitamins and minerals.
