I joined Bioquell in the early stages of an exciting new project, the ICE-pod (http://www.bioquell.com/products/bioquell-ice-pod/). I have assisted in the progression from prototype to installation of final products in multiple top UK Hospitals. Joining the project so early meant a varied role including site surveys, 3D laser scanning, liaising with customers, CAD, CAM, machining and assembly work. As the team has grown my role has become more focused and I have taken control of the analysis of 3D laser scanned data, compiling documents stating whether or not ICE-pods can be installed and CAD modelling prospective rooms from the scanned data.

I work on a diverse range of projects providing design solutions for multiple clients including Petz Podz (www.petzpodz.com), The Cool Ice Box Company (www.coolicebox.co.uk) and PackSaddle (www.packsaddle.co.uk).

Being the only designer in the company meant I had a large amount of responsibility and freedom. As can be seen in my Portfolio, I worked on a numerous projects including cool boxes and kayaks. I took, Petz Podz (www.petzpodz.com), a range of Luxury Pet Homes from early design concepts to final moulded products. I was in charge of sourcing a large variety of components from both the UK and Far East. Combining my graphics skills and 3D CAD skills, I created adverts, user guides and POS’s. My CAD skills improved tremendously as I created 3D models and technical drawings on a daily basis. Spending time both in the office and workshop meant I gained a deep understanding of the rotational moulding process. I liaised with numerous companies on various projects including injection moulded and vacuum formed plastic products and machined metal products.

Boundary manufactures components and assemblies for GKN Westland, one of the largest helicopter companies in the world. Working here provided me with practical experience and gave me an insight as to how a company really runs.
