Starbucks is social.. it's where you go for coffee dates, job interviews, study sessions. but once you take your coffee outside the café, all social intimacy vanishes. You sit on the subway, bored. I saw this as an opportunity. "Say hi with Starbucks" uses coffee sleeves to create moments of serendipity in public spaces. when carried around town they can start conversations, create friendships, and make the subway and the supermarket line a friendlier place to be.
