Provide creative leadership, direction and inspiration to the Skullcandy brand.
Reporting into the Chief Commercialization Officer to lead the design team (Headphone color and graphic, Marketing) and provide creative vision that delivers the Skullcandy brand promise and lines up with our brand anthem and tagline...
-Taking consumer insights as well as competitive set to define the Skullcandy brand statement (anthem) with Brand Marketing and created a new visual look and feel that delivers on the brand statement. Developed style guide and rules for new look and feel to guide global consistency across all regions and all distribution channels.
- Execute on strategic briefs to develop campaign concepts that support the brand mission. Work on all different layers of the campaigns executions included but not limited to: video content, printed material, digital creative, point of purchase, events and activations. Work with cross-functional team to ensure consistent roll out of campaigns and visuals.
- Work with Category and Sales teams to understand all distributions channels to develop relevant color/graphic collections relevant to our consumers in each channel. Devolop color collections relevant to Skullcandy product categories: Gaming, Sport, Women, speakers etc…
- Color and Graphic research and trend forecasting. Travel to cultural epicenters domestic and international to identify upcoming trends in both Consumer Electronics as well as lifestyle apparel and accessories. Work with trend forcasters to get further insights on color/graphic trend.
- Direct the development of tech-packs and work with Product Development to work through the commercialization process from ideation to production of finished good. Through each phase from first round of line drawings all the way to Golden samples.

Managed team of three designers to develop product color and graphic seasonal collections. Worked on an 18 month calendar to develop inspiration boards based on trend research both domestically and internationally. Developed and presented all creative collections to key business leaders with-in the organization for internal approvals. Oversaw and built tech-packs that would then be delivered to our Product Development team to work with factories to produce product. Oversaw sampling process to ensure we were meeting the original design intent. Solid knowledge of processes in both hard/soft plastics as well as fabrics. At Skullcandy we constantly try to push our factories to explore and develop new decoration processes.
