Bitsumo - Resin Toy

Bitsumo is the creation of Dai Tran. Dai had already created Bitsumo in 3D, but wasn’t entirely happy with the final result so far. He handed off the model, where I could incorporate the adjustments he wanted into the sculpt. From there, I was able to take the piece and create a model on a 3D printer. I was able to help him on this great toy design and make it a reality. The figure has 6 points of articulation – Neck, shoulders, wrists, and waist. He also has a removable helmet and stands about 3.75? tall. Check out the awesome RAWRS logo engraved into his right foot. He was available in several different colorways which I cast, cleaned, and assembled personally for Dai back in 2011 and 2012.
These images show my involvement with Bitsumo on the Production side of things. From 3D Printing to RTV Molding and Casting and final assembly.
I'm proud of the fact that I was able to come up with a way of molding/casting this piece with no seam lines on the final product.
