Director of Product Development
Nov 2013 - Feb 2020 (6 years 3 months)
My role is to manage various product categories through all stages of the development process, from conception through mass production, beginning with prioritizing the design team workload to ensure completion within the seasonal timelines. Additionally, I work closely with the sales team to identify individual customer needs and oversee the development of product accordingly . Once seasonal development has been completed, I present the product line to upper management, sales team, and retail customers. My key accounts include both mid-tier and mass retailers and i have a proven track record of growth in both categories. Because I lead the development process from beginning to end, I am also responsible for working closely with overseas technicians to to ensure an overall smooth commercialization process and timely X-Factory goods. In turn, I work closely with the QC team to maintain quality standards and address any issues that might arise. My understanding of financial metrics is another crucial element in my role, as I am continually making informed logical decisions to help grow the profitability of the company, based on factors such as sales, gross margin, sell thru, inventory turns, etc.
