Potluck, the 2018 whatnot collection's concept that relationship between food and borders and employed design as a medium to explore how the food we consume is deeply entwined with global systems of production and profit, personal and cultural identities, politics, ethics, and the environment. The whatnot studio partnered and collaborated with West Supply, Chicago based manufacturer. 16 designers individually designed and fabricated in collaboration with West Supply. The Whatnot studio showcased in Spazio Rossana Orlandi at Salone del Mobile in Milan, Italy from April 17th-22nd 2018.

A partnership with Kikkerland Design Inc, Paper Source, and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Kikkerland Design Inc and Paper Source are inviting industrial design students to design a product that makes people’s lives more enjoyable and easier, a product that is exciting, refreshing and artistic under the core values: Live, Give, Create, Celebrate. Students individually designed an innovative products for Kikkerland Design Inc and Paper Source. The products featured at the 2017 International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York from May 21st - 24th.

In charge of creating attractive visual displays in retail stores. Utilize creative to enhance the aesthetic appeal of window displays, walkways, counters and in-store displays. Work to ensure the uniformity of displays across multiple store locations. Conducting research on current and future trends in design and lifestyle and associated target market features. Meeting with business, sales managers and retail managers to discuss sales strategies. Assembling or dismantling visual displays in windows or in-store. It is important to make the most of the space available, work within a budget and meet deadlines.

Installing displays in-store for the opening. Knowledge and experience with the manipulation of various textiles and materials, as well as a familiarity with power tools, basic construction techniques, sewing, and installation art.

Display Coordinator works in a collaborative and supportive relationship with the Visual Manager to provide an unimagined experience for our customer thru display and discovery.

Interpret seasonal concept direction and inspiration provided by the Home Office to meet the unique needs of store, including space constraints, knowledge of customer and local cultural interests. Conceptualize and collaborate in the creation of three-dimensional artwork/ display, both large and small scale. Continually generate fresh ideas in display using varied materials, while retaining a collaborative and flexible mindset. Efficiently utilize all display materials, including adaptations from recycled displays.
