This first sculpture from a live model was a difficult transition from the two dimensional medium I was accustomed to. I had to use previous knowledge of anatomy and how light works with form to help guide the sculpture and achieve as much likeness as possible. Life sized oil based clay cast in plaster.
Sculpted over a period of five weeks this was my first experience in sculpting the full form. This Full figure piece was sculpted from a live model with the incorporation of conceptual elements to sculpt the model as Dionysus, the God of wine. Oil based clay.
