Mehmet Eren Ozyoldash

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Mehmet Eren Ozyoldash and I am from the sunniest island in the world which is Cyprus. I am doing my second master at Linnaeus university Vaxjo/Sweden while working as freelance product design in Sweden and Turkey. Before my studies in Sweden, I am graduated from one of finest design school in Italy. Domus Academy master program (with Scholarship from the European Union).I lived and work in different countries and cities which help me understate and to be familiar with different cultures, social structures, and behaviors. I had done my military service which was a huge experience for tapping into the perspective of various personalities and discover the polar sides of humanity. I am eager to evolve and become better in the design field every passing day which is one of my biggest drive in my life. I prefer to use both work experience and academic -based opportunities to achieve my goals.

Design studies should focus on function, form, ergonomics, sustainability, usability and problem definition. On the other hand, the designer should learn and study anthropology, cultural studies, material, culture studies and science and technology studies.

I prefer to focus on IDEO design methodology or Inclusive Design practice. For my future career, I plan to focus HCD and Inclusive design and develop consumer good concept. Moreover, as all responsible design should do, I plan to focus on circular design methodology and tackle into a wicked problem. There is no denying design practice is evolving non-stop and there are many approaches to develop the concept.Recently I realized the importance of co-design and participatory design and I studying to develop myself to be a more effective designer in these areas.

Moreover, I aim to fuse traditional skill sets with new methodologies.Right now, my work focused on sustainability and human-centered design related to the field of consumer goods and experimental/speculative design.
