Marina Feeser

As the Development Specialist, under the supervision of the Director of Development I am responsible for supporting the activities of the Center’s Development program, which include fundraising for the Center’s projects and programs through direct mail, social media, events, and one-on-one solicitation of individuals and corporations. I works closely with the Director of Development in the planning and execution of these activities, plays an important role in donor relations, and is responsible for maintaining the Center’s CRM database (Bloomerang and now Virtuous). I also works with the Development Committee, a subcommittee of the Center’s Board of Directors that supports fundraising efforts. I am responsible for maintaining our CRM of donor data and processing all Center donations. I was also the lead in researching and implementing our new CRM and worked with an outside vendor to help migrate all of our data to the new database. With my graphic design skillset, I also have created a merchandise program for the Center, as well as creating several event flyers, posters, and marketing materials.

I create, design, and produce publications, printed materials, giveaways, and electronic communications (Constant Contact emails, online newsletters, photo galleries) that help promote and support the mission of the University. I foster consistent branding of the SU identity throughout all projects. I work with various departments and student organizations as well as outside vendors to create designs and provide quality final products. Strive to build creative solutions based on content, uniformity of brand/messaging, cost-effectiveness, timeliness and quality. Collaborate with other designers, the university photographer, web developers, PR staff and Copy Center staff to develop successful marketing and promotional materials. I also completed, in the absence of our digital media designer, tasks such as creating and scheduling campus-wide email blasts and digital ads that played in various campus buildings on TV screens. Participated in the total redesign of the university website over the summer of 2018, which involved creating content through a content management system and merging the old website’s content into the new CMS.

Assisted in the daily operations of this locally owned gourmet food and craft business by working the company booth at craft and trade shows, assisting in the creation of craft products for sale at retail locations or trade shows, the design and scheduling of email blasts, updating customer contact information, trade show sign design, product photography, website updates or any other duties as assigned.

Prepared files for print in the monthly regional magazine by creating or preflighting all advertisements in Baltimore and Baltimore Bride magazines. Worked with sales representatives and outside clients to ensure files would print correctly in the magazine. Worked with clients to design ads for print in the magazine. Maintained the organization and archiving of all ad files monthly. Lead designer for special advertising sections for print in the magazine, which featured different doctors, dentists, and women in business in the Baltimore area.

Used the Adobe CS to create both printed and web materials, including PREVIEWS, a monthly catalog/magazine highlighting new releases in comics, weekly web publications, trade show banners and promotional materials for comic conventions, sell sheets for both Diamond and outside vendors, and order forms for products solicited by Diamond. Printed, trimmed and mounted signs on a large format printer for global trade shows and conventions and provided any other graphic support, including taking product photos for items solicited in the PREVIEWS catalog.
