Designer I responsible for expanding the Work/Safety, Outdoor, Rugged West and Rubber boot categories. Since starting at Ariat I have designed twelve entirely new footwear platforms that are currently on the market or in production. I design all projects for the Rubber boot category utilizing vulcanization and injection molding processes for production. My design process includes trend research with seasonal storytelling, sketching, tech pack completion, and making technical edits to blueprints and pattern shells. My design work has lead to successful collaboration with companies such as Vibram, to design and implement new outsole toolings in the Work/Safety category. I have experience working with a wide variety of materials including leathers, textile, rubber compounds, adhesive films, etc.

Advanced Concepts Design Intern

As an intern on the Advanced Concepts team at Timberland, I learned the basics of footwear construction, design and manufacturing. I successfully pitched and prototyped new ideas for constructing footwear with no glue/cement to help reduce the environmental impact of Timberland boots. I learned how to create and edit patterns from a last and successfully designed, drafted and constructed my own pair of boots.

Projects I worked on included research on adapting to younger and future consumers for a major chain restaurant, providing learning strategies to the employees of a large household cleaning supply company, and implementing an internal exercise at Continuum to exemplify fun exercises that can be applied create positive change in local communities.

Designer working on graphic and point-of-sale solutions for the iconic Coca-Cola brand and other North American labels. Major project initiatives I worked on included solutions for Coke’s sustainable POP display platform, graphic design for packaging and cans, and branding that supported Coke’s involvement with MLS. My work led to design project collaborations with other Coca-Cola partners such as Six Flags, Universal, the NBA and Mondelez International.
