Responsible for leading a team of six photographers. Responsibilities included project management, customer liaison, staff supervision and training enabling my team to provide quality photographic/imagery services and products for the Auckland region and beyond. My role also incorporated the research and development of digital processes and management systems. I was responsible for the procurement of equipment and services, producing output on budget and in a timely manner. In addition I am was also a productive photographer, regularly undertaking in-situ and studio based technical photography, identity, portraiture and public relations, intelligence/scene of crime photography. Utilising 35mm film, medium format and digital camera and video equipment, studio processing and print equipment. We were responsible for providing photographic and audio visual support to the New Zealand Defence Force at home and overseas.
Achievements: Effective team management resulting in a continual improvement of digital procedures and systems. Improving supplier and client relationships in order to further enhance the New Zealand Defence Force profile.

Over an eleven year career with the RAF I lived and worked as a professional photographer and studio manager on tours and operations worldwide. I have served in England, Scotland, Germany, Cyprus, Norway, and Gibraltar, providing photographic support to British Forces worldwide. I have worked in many different areas within photography during my RAF career. My responsibilities included, but where not limited to Air and Maritime recognisance acquisition, film and print processing, in-situ and studio based technical/defect and portraiture photography, criminal investigation, medical and public relations photography, graphic design, mini lab bulk printing, web design and videography. Studio, asset and people management.
Achievements: 2001 RAF Photographer of the Year Member of the implementation team that provided the RAF with a successful transition from conventional film photography to digital and resultant implementation and testing of digital systems.
