Norene Cashen

Norene Cashen is a writer, journalist, copywriter and content creator with certifications in email marketing and social media. She's a member of the International Association of Business Communicators. She's worked as a marketing copywriter, account manager and an inside sales manager in academic publishing.

Norene is a student in the master's of strategic communications program at Michigan State University. She has a master of social work degree from Wayne State University and a BA in English Literature from Oakland University.

Since 1996, hundreds of her articles and reviews have appeared in publications, including The Orlando Weekly and Detroit's Metro Times. Her poems and essays have been published in respected journals and anthologies.

For ten years, she worked for a nonprofit as a writer-in-residence. She also served as the program coordinator for Detroit's youth poetry slam team, which won the Coming Up Taller Award by the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities. With her education in social work, she brings a high level of competence in diversity, inclusion, team building and corporate social responsibility.
