Nikita Parikh

As a freelance designer I work closely with my clients to foster innovative concepts that solves the needs of the client and most importantly the user. I begin my creative process by brainstorming, conceptualizing and gathering generative ideas based on my field research.

As an automated logistics specialist I mange a warehouse and maintain equipment records, stock records, document inventory accounting, personnel accounting, dispatches and perform due-ins and due-outs. I also generate daily reports for personnel and equipment and create spreadsheets for work-orders.

As a student co-chair we assisted with planning and sketching workshops, creating meet and greet events to help facilitate inter-college design discussions. This gave me the opportunity to help students all over Philadelphia learn about each others design processes and build a local client network in which we can utilize to help develop future ideas and designs.

I assisted the event director with planning and executing events based on client needs. Planning included designing invitations, making table arrangement and ensuring the fine details of corporate events and weddings were exactly as the client requested. Part of my assignment was also to research other venues and events the my company could take part in and assisted in networking with others to make those connections. I was provided the opportunity to travel to various events and network with other people within the tri-state area.
